Thanks for joining us on wukalina Walk.

We appreciate your interest in our community venture, which is the first Palawa owned and guided multiday hiking and cultural experience in Lutruwita/Tasmania. We’d like to help media who are non-Indigenous to understand how to be when you’re in ‘our world’.

We know that the work of a journalist generally involves asking questions, but our guides won’t be comfortable with too much of that. Please read our FAQs, especially the information on Palawa culture and how to sensitively communicate with First Nations people. Over the 4-day journey, our guides will share a great deal of knowledge in a way that is most comfortable for them. Please respect this process.

We also recognise how important it is to writers and photographers who walk with us to be as culturally sensitive as possible when composing articles and captioning images after the experience. To help you achieve that, we’ve compiled this guide specific to Lutruwita and wukalina Walk.

You’ll find relevant professional images at the Tourism Tasmania Visual Library. We have a more extensive collection so please use the form below if you require more wukalina Walk photos especially landscapes, seascapes, beaches, animals, birds and plants.
